Want U Back - Cher Lloyd

hi guys!!!

Sorry i havent posted in OVER a week. im horrible, right? its okay though. i have a bunch of pictures of a mint green/ leopard mani i did a few days ago.

I had bought this Essie polish a few weeks ago and had never had the chance to use it, but i had been thinking of doing another animal print mani for a while and thought that a mint accent nail would be soooo cute. i really love the colors together.

I used only dotting tools to make the leopard design, they arent the best ive done but they still look good enough. hehe All of the colors used for the leopard are color club.

The picture below is with no flash, you can really see how mint the essie polish is. LOVE.

anyway, i have something exciting to tell you.... yesterday i got to meet CHER LLOYD. yes, i love her. she is the cutest little brit girl and she is going to be HUGE. her music is just fun. ill post the picture whenever the radio station posts it. she covered OMG by user and it was perfect! so fun.

Bad News Baby - Josiah Lemming (feather nails!)

Hey kids! smeee again, Summer. I have for youuuu a FEATHER NAIL TUTORIAL!!!!!

uhm, HELLERRRRRR - do u SEEE this mani? IN LOVE. Its a total feather mani - I saw this on tumblr and decided that I should try.
Not to Toot my own horn or anything, but i like mine BETTER than that one. (toot toot) But maybe thats because its my mani. hahaha...
This is everything that I used for the mani. I bought the pack of feathers at hobby lobby for like... 1.49 and it was enough for 50 manis. Im not sure what color club color this is.. but its basically my new favsies. its my perfect nude polish. ANYWAY.. here is how I did this mani
  • Paint every nail with your base color.
  • WHILE the polish is still tacky - take the feather and lay it down gently onto the nail, and easily press the sides down so that the feather is laying completely flat. leave the extra hanging over the edge. Repeat on all nails
  • Let dry, then trim the extra feather off of your nails. If any extra strands of feathers are loose, dont worry.. we will hold those down in a sec!
  • After trimming all the excess feather - paint a clear coat over your nails - I used a thick coat of sally hansen hard as nails (yes i know this is a hardener - but it makes my nails super shiny)
  • Take a Fast drying top coat and put it on top to seal everything in (optional) I used color club 0-60 top coat because its my faveee

Here is a close up of the thumb - It just looks so perfect. I loooveeeee it. Im probably gonna do this again for Nashville Fashion Week this year..
SO pretty I cant even look at it. omg.
Yeah this is a weird angle.... but i just cant stop looking at my fingers! loveeeeeee

Losing Your Memory Now - Ryan Star

Glitter Bomb!

So the facebook group that I joined a few weeks ago decided to do a different mani every monday - and I have participated a few weeks now. This mondays theme is Glitter Bomb. Which basically just means.. glitter every where, glitter all day every day, glitter on glitter, glitter glitter glitter. You get the picture.

I decided that I would do something simple and I would wear it for my interview on tuesday as well.. The picture above is with NO flash..
This picture obviously has flash.. but it doesnt give the mani justice. I think that the first picture us WAY more accurate.
I used China Glaze for audrey - WnW party of 5 glitters - and Essie Matte about you. I just layered and layered the glitter over the for audrey on my accent fingers and put the matte finisher on top of the glitter! I like the way it makes it look frozen :p

Zebra Nail Tutorial

So the other day one of our readers asked me to do a zebra nail tutorial.. so here goes nothing!

What You Will Need: a nail art brush in any color. I used sinful colors:nail art that I got from walgreens for 1.99. typically I use art deco from the dollar tree, since im cheap and all.

Next you will just choose your base color, I just used american apparel: cotton

After that has completely dried, just take the nail art brush and make slightly wavy lines about half way across your nail - i like to start from the corner and sort of go up and diagonal. i think it looks not so generic lol

Continue adding the lines until you have as many as you think looks good, and then add the wavy lines to the other side... going into the empty spaces between the other lines

After you have done this on all nails, just look at your nails and add 'filler' lines anywhere you think there is a gap - it should look similar to this when youre finished. BTW i left the ring finger white for an 'accent nail' but you dont have to do that.

SOOOOOO, did this help?? I will make a video later for our youtube acct and add a link!
