Bittersweet - Hanson

Ahhhh - so I did a tape mani this week. I used sally hansen in mint sorbet and china glaze in zombie zest. I REALLY love the way these colors go together, a lot more than I thought.

I wore this to the farmers market and got 4 compliments - and its SO simple. After I did it I realized it was close to the lightning bolt mani that NailSide did - I wasn't trying for that but hey, ill take it. Her blog is AMAZING!

So tell me, do y'all like it?

Gone - Scotty McCreery

Hey everyone! Hope you all have been doing well. This weekend I went to Scotty McCreery's homecoming in Garner, North Carolina! If you don't know, Scotty is a finalist on American Idol. When you make the final 3, you get a hometown visit! I'm super proud of Scotty and so happy he's representing North Carolina. I had a great time there and I am so happy for him! Be sure to watch American Idol this Wednesday on FOX at 8:00p.m. Please vote! I'm hoping he'll bring home the win!

Anyways, I'm here to post the eyeshadow look that I wore that day. This is my favorite eyeshadow look. I wear it almost every single day. I have received so many compliments. I can dress it up with eyeliner, or tone it down for when I'm just running out the door to go to class.

If I Die Young - The Band Perry

Coupons! I love coupons!

On that note: I found a coupon for 10 dollars off of a 10 dollar purchase at fashion bug. I don't typically shop there but I decided ehhh what the heck.

I walked in and decided the clothes were DEF not for me. To say the least. BUTTTTT they had nail polish! Oh, and this cute ring. I got 2 polishes and this ring and only paid tax!! I got a burrrittte pink and a royal blue color polish.

I really wanted to try layering.. So I used the fashion bug blue and then a magenta color on top... Added an OPI glitter and then Essie's Matte About You to make it interesting...

I think it sort of ended up looking like my ring...... Coincidently of course :)

Zebra Nail Tutorial

So the other day one of our readers asked me to do a zebra nail tutorial.. so here goes nothing!

What You Will Need: a nail art brush in any color. I used sinful colors:nail art that I got from walgreens for 1.99. typically I use art deco from the dollar tree, since im cheap and all.

Next you will just choose your base color, I just used american apparel: cotton

After that has completely dried, just take the nail art brush and make slightly wavy lines about half way across your nail - i like to start from the corner and sort of go up and diagonal. i think it looks not so generic lol

Continue adding the lines until you have as many as you think looks good, and then add the wavy lines to the other side... going into the empty spaces between the other lines

After you have done this on all nails, just look at your nails and add 'filler' lines anywhere you think there is a gap - it should look similar to this when youre finished. BTW i left the ring finger white for an 'accent nail' but you dont have to do that.

SOOOOOO, did this help?? I will make a video later for our youtube acct and add a link!
