As some of you know, We have been sponsored by Zoya Nail Polish for a few months. We received all of their new Summer Collections in May. Since I was out of the country - I havent had a chance to post any of the swatches or discuss much about the products. ANYWAY, since they are Zoya Polishes - they are all perfect. Its also been a while since we have had a giveaway, So we thought.. "Lets just go ahead and giveaway the whole set of pixie polishes!" Now these polishes are matte glitters and im sure you are thinking UGH! matte always chips... NOT THESE BABES. I swatched each of these colors on one finger, no base coat, and no top coat (obvs, its a matte so I didnt want to make it shiny with a top coat) and I did NOT see any tip wear or chips until the 3rd day. I left it on for 5 days and in that time I only had 1 finger chip, the other two showed a bit of tip wear.. but these ARE AMAZING... hmmm, on second thought maybe I should keep these for myself. HA! Just kidding!

Turn It Up - Holiday Parade

Happy Independence Day everyone!! I've been super busy lately as I'm sure the other girls have been as well but I wanted to post a quick mani that I did for the July 4th holiday!

I used Essence Hard To Resist and OPI Alpine Snow as the base. The stripes are OPI An Affair In Red Square with the stars being Zoya Trixie. The glitter is a mix of OPI Getting' Miss Piggy With It and Essie Set In Stone. Hope you like it!

Fix A Heart - Demi Lovato

Hope everyone is having a great week! I have a few days left of spring break - so I thought I would upload a picture of my mani!

I haven't posted in awhile and I apologize. I lost my camera cord so I had no way of connecting my camera to my laptop. It is still missing...but I found a temporary one that works (very slowly).

I did this on Monday, so I had two days to enjoy it before I went to the car dealership and got a new one. Yep, I said that correctly. At my car dealership - free manicures are offered while you wait for your car to be serviced. How awesome, right!?

We Are Young - Fun. feat. Janelle Monáe

This week I wanted to do something a bit easier on myself since I have a really long work week ahead. I decided to go with a jelly sandwich since I have actually NEVER done one before! I really can't believe that I haven't tried this sooner because I love the way it turned out.

First of all I started off with a coat of Seche Clear Base Coat. I then applied 2 coats of O.P.I. Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em from their Texas Collection. It's a beautiful color and a great jelly polish. Next I added To The Glitter End! from Sephora by O.P.I. It's a fabulous gray metallic chunky glitter. I keep wondering if it is a dupe for the Deborah Lippmann I Love The Nightlife. I have been fan girling over that one since I saw it! Then, I added another coat of Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em on top of the glitter. Fabulous! The glitter almost has a purple hue under the hot pink coat. I finished it up with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Seche is definitely my favorite base & top coat hands down.

I seriously can not get enough of this song "We Are Young" by Fun. It is absoultely brilliant. You might recognize the song from the Chevy commercial that has been in rotation ever since the Super Bowl. If you haven't heard of them before be sure to check them out!

Turn Me On - David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj

Hello everyone! Last week I did a mani for the sweet side of Valentine's Day. Today's mani is the sexy side!



I started out with a beautiful color from one of the sets Ulta put out recently called Paint The Town. It is a darker red color that I really loved. I almost didnt want to paint over it because it was fierce on it's on! On my ring finger I used WnW Black Creme. I then free handed the red lips. I was going for the look of fish nets on my pointer finger. I used a Bundle Monster plate for the design. Then I used China Glazes Ruby Pumps for the other fingers.




Red just screams sexy right!?

I thought I would also include a picture of my Valentine since it is almost here.


This is Jax asleep in my lap. He is a Scottish Terrier. I fell in love the minute I saw him. I think I have the cutest Valentine ever! ;-)

Hey guys! Its me, Summer.

I have for you.... a cupcake mani! Haha okay, okay its really just a glitter sandwhich... but it looks like cupcake frosting... or maybe I'm crazy.

I saw something with this color combo on a blog.... months ago.. and I loved it.. so.. I recreated! (If this was your mani first.. msg me and ill link u)

The thing I love about glitter sandwhiches is that its so understated.. yet fun. Who doesn't love a chunky, multi colored glitter? Normally if you were to wear a nude polish, with a chunky glitter, it would harshly contrast and look a little mis matched.. but when you layer another coat of the sheer polish over top of the glitter.. it mutes the harshness. Love it!

Brand New Day - Joshua Radin

Hey there! 

Last weekend, for new year's eve, I went to Knoxville and met up with Summer! Reunited at last :)

We had a really fun time that night and it was great getting ready together and hanging out. Summer was so sweet and gave me a nail polish gift set! So, I thought I would take some quick pictures. (I'm still in love with my camera and I'm basically taking pictures of every thing in my kit. Haha.)

CONCERT SEASON IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

you all have no idea how excited i am about this. It has been since MAY that i have been to a concert. IM DYING! SOOO when i heard that Stars Go Dim was coming to town.. i knew i had to go. I totally plan on doing SGD nails for the concert.. but until then.. this is what i came up with.

I used Revlon - blue lagoon and an art deco blue glitter. I actually kinda wish that i had this blue glitter in a full size bottle.. i sort of love it. Yall know of anything that might be a dupe???!!! LMK! I just started with a base of blue lagoon and added some random lines with the art deco.. super easy.. but i love the bluesssss

I really wish that I had more time to do nail art lately because i have gotten so many great polishes.. but honestly.. i started a new job.. and i have been TRAINING like crazy.. sort of intense. ok, not really.. but it keeps me too busy to do my nails. :( WAHHHHH

OH BEETEEDUBBS --- i found my long lost daughter. i mean.. shes sooo freakin PRESH! i saw her video on LaqueredME and spent the next hour going through and watching EVERY SINGLE VIDEO. ohmygod, i want my unborn child to be just like her.

Day Old Hate - City and Colour (puppy spam!!!)

Sending you guys something simple for this weekend - I ran out of polish remover (sinful, i know!) so I didnt do anything super fancy. Howeverrrrr... this color is great. I used Sinful Colors in Paradise and the 2nd polish is Pure Ice named In The Mood - hilariously enough my boyfriend actually bought this for me.

You Can see how short my middle finger nail is in this picture. I know I should file them all down since I broke the one so they are all the same length.. but I really dont have the heart to yet :/ HAHA!! PUPPPPYYYY SPAMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are my wittle babies!!! the dachshund is named Sunnie and she is about a hundred years old! haha and the Beagle's name is Butters (yes, like the kid from south park) and hes almost 3! Theyre my babies and spoiled beyond belief. Now everyone saw AWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

Hello world. Its me, Summer.

I guess you could say i'm following the trend.. and layering glitter. In the past month i have seen like.. 3 bloggers try this and it basically looks AMAZINNGGGGGGG. So... here is my version.

I used tickled pink by Wet 'N Wild, party of five glitters by Wet 'N Wild, and on top i used pink-a-doodle by OPI.

I love the way that the top layer mutes the harshness of the glitter. you can see in the picture above how contrasting the party of five glitters is the the tickled pink polish. it allows me to wear a chunky glitter with a pale polish color. LOVEEEE..

California Gurls - Katy Perry

Hellloooo. Alexis, here. Long time, no see! I just returned from the most epic roadtrip of all roadtrips! I traveled to Atlanta to see my idol, KATY PERRY : ) I adore her. So my friend and I decided to dress up like California Gurls from her music video! I thought I'd share my pictures since those costumes were full of glitter, makeup, and candy. So so so much fun to make!

i wanted to redo my nails for today because well.... just because. My friend Spen'sar - another nail polish addict - let me use her nail polish for this one. but all i kept thinking was "what the hell am i gonna do to my nails?" sooo thats where the song came from LOL!

i just started with a white base and used my dotting tool to create the dots - i started with black and did them in straight dotted lines and finished with several different colors that i dotted randomly around.

i dont have the exact name of the polish that i used since it wasnt mine... but i know all of it except one was china glaze :)

Eyeshadow: Peacock - Katy Perry

If you know me, you know peacocks are my favorite animal. I was wearing my peacock necklace today and I was inspired to create this eyeshadow look! It is a fun night-time look. I love how it turned out.

Plus, I really want to make an eyeshadow look for every song off of Katy Perry's album "Teenage Dream." Her songs are colorful and I think I can makeup some creative eyeshadow looks!

I just painted my nails. So, I thought I would make a quick post! :)

Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice

I decided this winter, after coming home from Washington D.C, that it has just been TOO cold. that being said, I really loved the idea of nails that look like they had just been dipped in water and ice sickles had just frozen on them. I decided that I would try to make this happen, and this is the result. Thoughts??

Heres how I did it:

I painted my entire nail "russian navy" by OPI

I then took white polish by OPI ( i cant remember the name ) and made vertical lines from the tip going down, I did various lengths and had to do this about 4-6 times on each nail for the look I wanted.

After I had let that completely dry, I took this silver glitter polish that I had previously

purchased at hot topic, and just dabbed the brush along the tip of my nail to make it look like it was dusted with snow, and gave it some texture.

***** over all, I'm really happy with the way that they turned out, and lots of people complimented them.. Hope you like 'em too!!
