Lasting Beauty: Small Actions Big Impacts

For centuries women have known the positive association to looking good and feeling good and this holds true for any woman in any circumstance and in any culture. From a local farmer in rural Africa, to a heart surgeon in a developed country, the smallest effort to look beautiful not only enhances inner beauty but also reflects a spirit of hope and self worth. Beauty is a language across boundaries and can be especially significant for those who are depressed, grieving, or suffering from a chronic disease, for example, a patient with a diagnosis of a cancer with a less positive prognosis like mesothelioma. Two especially quick and relatively effortless beauty rituals include applying eye shadow and nail polish. Not only do these two small actions make a difference, but also they have other benefits for women both young and old.
Shared Activity
One way to the raise the spirits of a friend or family member is to encourage her to make small efforts for big impact, taking care of herself to feel beautiful in her own skin. A group of friends might use time at a manicure salon to share light and casual conversion that will draw the woman in a difficult circumstance out of her hard place and lighten up her thoughts and mood. It also normalizes her world and makes her feel like the other women. Variety and Cost
Eye shadow and nail polish application is especially fun because of all the choices of color available that can be changed to match individual outfits and preferences. Although some eye shadow and nail polish types are more expensive due to their quality and brand, they still make a great investment for their superior ingredients and their long lasting qualities. There are a great variety of inexpensive brands that are also quite good, ultimately making both beauty routines an inexpensive way to feel beautiful that rivals going out and buying a new closet or getting a plastic surgery procedure, which is a costly indulgence. Minimal Maintenance for Maximum Effect
Applying eye shadow or nail polish has the added benefit of being low maintenance and thus easy for women, even those who are extremely busy during the week or feeling weak from illness to do. It makes a big difference when presenting oneself to the world. It ultimately causes a woman to exude self-care and increases an overall sense of confidence. We decided on Pearl by Katy Perry as the song title. It's an empowering song about self-confidence. Perfect fit! Summer made a white mani look. I did a white eyeshadow look - but due to camera difficulties - I won't be uploading it. Summer did such a great job - my eyeshadow would have been so ugly next to hers :P She did a great job! Love it!
