What Are You Waiting For (Allen Morgan Remix) - Lauri

Guys! We have our first guest post!

A while ago we had decided that we would love to have our first guest post, so we began thinking of who we should ask... well after a while I decided that we should choose Brooke. She had sent us some of her manis in the past and they were gooorrgggeous... especially her feather mani... anyway.. I asked her... and she said yes! Below is her post! ;)

I wanted to create a look for a wedding I went to this past weekend. The wedding was on Jekyll Island in Georgia at a gorgeous wooden chapel. The wedding was beautiful & I had a great time seeing friends that I have been missing. Last week I went to Atlanta to do some Christmas shopping & I found a fabulous pair of raspberry suede shoes that would go great with my dress for the wedding. Naturally I went and found some nail polished that matched my new shoes! OPI's Louvre Me Louvre Me Not was pretty much a perfect match. I couldn't have just one color on my nails so I added Orly's Shine & Essie's Luxeffects in Set In Stones for some bling. I painted my thumb & middle finger with Louvre Me Louvre Me Not & the other three with Shine. After that was dry, I sponged Shine onto my thumb & middle finger. I then used a reinforcement label to make the half moons on my pointer & pinkie finger with LMLMN. I used the Set In Stones on my ring finger for some added bling. I topped everything off with a coat of Seche Vite's Fast Dry Top Coat to speed up my drying time. P.S. If you are wondering about the song, it's by an artist from Finland. Lauri Ylönen is the lead singer of the band The Rasmus and he released a solo album, New World, earlier this year. This is a remix off of the New World: Special Edition. I have been jamming out to this song for about 2 months. The original is great but this remix is fabulous.

Forget Me Not - The Civil Wars

Hey!

So so so sorry I have been so absent. My life has been crazy busy. I am finally done with finals, though. I'm back to blogging now! I have been so busy with school that I have barely even had time to do my nails. I painted my nails twice maybe in the past 2 months. Time for makeup? Hah...yea, right. How pathetic.

Anyway - both manis turned out somewhat decent (considering I am always a fail with nails. Yet I never give up). I just thought I would stop by and post pictures of both!

I had (and still have) quite the obsession with beige and black. I saw a cute beige wallet online with a black bow - so it inspired these nails! I like the way it turned out. Of course there is room for major improvement. I'm going to work on my bow-art and straight lines. Not bad for a first attempt though with toothpicks and bobby pins.

Up next....

,

I saw something similar online (Pinterest) using straws. It reminded me of the coach logo used on some purses a few years back. Super cute! So I gave it a try with my favorite china glaze pink polishes. There is still room for improvement. But, I think this is a really neat idea and I love the result!

Hope you all are having a marvelous weekend!

Xo Alexis

PS- I saw The Civil Wars in concert this month. Absolutely brilliant! If you ever get the chance to see them live - please go. You won't regret it. If not, be sure to check out some of their music and live videos on YouTube. So impressive! Love them to pieces.

It Will Rain - Bruno Mars

Ohhh GUISE, I'm back from hiatus. I've been so flustered with all of this stuff with my wreck. I STILL can't get over the fact that Alexis and I both wrecked and totaled our cars in a matter of a few months apart. So weird. Anyway, I hope that only good can come from this... Even tho I will miss my wittle car. :(
But onto the nails - I started out with my base coat and then did 50/50 base colors in china glaze loft-y ambitions and then used the 'beyond the misletoe' color club polish.... And covered up my line with a stripe of black art deco nail polish. Pretty much the easiest mani evs.
I included some blurred pics so you could see the glitter better!!

Gotta Be You - One Direction

well, its me again and I have a very GREEN post for you all today. I recently did some emotional shopping at sallys... But its okay, because I used coupons... And the polish was on sale.. So its okay right? I got the entire China Glaze Metro Collection, plus a couple random colors like Ghoulish Glow, Lemon Fizz, and Haunting. I was suppppper excited! I got all of the polishes on sale 2 for 3 dollars. Psht YES that's a good deal.
Anyway, I used Finger Paints - Military Green and CG - Westside Warrior. I alternated base coats and then did opposite colored dots on each nail. Simple. But u can ignore my wonky dots on some of my nails.
OH AND HANSON. Dec 1st. Indy. Yeeeahahahaha!!!!

Also, josiah is going on tour and y'all know I'm gonna have to go see him. Exciting! Sorry for the spaces. I'm being random. BTW, joint post coming from me and alexis SOON! Halloween Collection Post!

Hi everyone!

Thanks SO much to everyone who participated! You are all extremely talented :) I was so impressed! I didn't get a chance to do my own Halloween mani... : ( On Sunday, I had to take down wallpaper from a room. My nails are completely ruined and are in so much pain. My fingers were bleeding by the time I was done. I should have taken a picture...that would have been appropriate for halloween! LOL

Enjoy the pictures and be sure to check out everyone's blogs!

Call Me - Shinedown

Okay guys, today has officially been the longest day ever and its not even 10 am yet! I leave for charlotte tonight, hopefully around 4pm. I'm meeting up with some of my kentucky friends for a hanson concert. Oh! And Alexis and I will be reunited as well!! I'm so excited! The funny thing is, I feel completely prepared for this trip. Which can only mean one thing. IM NOT PREPARED. Ahhhhhhh. I hate forgetting things.
Completely random sidenote: My friends that will be in charlotte are baking lots of sweets. I can't wait to eat them. Yum.
Anyway. Onto the nails! I used all color club polishes except for the white. Which is of course WNW french white creme. I found this gem of a hand sanitizer on sale at bath and body works and was instantly inspired. Hahaha jk. But I bought it specifically for this mani. I know. I'm a nerd.
Oh! And don't forget to go buy Josiah Lemings new single called 'Too Young' on iTunes. I love itttt :)

What Makes You Beautiful - One Direction

Hey guys! I'm back with more halloween nails!!
Of course one of my favorite movies is nightmare before christmas and one of my friends, desiree, is completely obsessed with it. One day I was at her desk and her background was jack from this movie and I realized I could probably totally draw him on my nails. Soooo I tried it! I like the way it turned out. I might try this again later cause I think it could be part of an aweeeesome mani. But I'm still a beginner!!
Anyway, tell me if y'all like it :)

One Last Song - Josiah Leming

Hi guys! Its me! Sorry I've been MIA lately. I have been busy. I wish I had a super de duper awesome nail post for you today, but I just have an okay post.. Nail wise anyway. I did a simple glitter gradient with a base of zoya's dove with RAINBOW CONNECTION by opi over top!!!! Yes, I found it and I bought the hell out of it! I love the glittery colors!!! I was so excited that merle norman had it lol. Anyway, its SO hard to remove. Duh.
BUT!!!!!!! My favorite tortured musician of all time played a show in our hometown! Yessss. Best thing to happen since I moved back to the stupid town. I love him. It was such a small gathering of people that I got to talk to him for a while and he even made me a cd and drew on it for me :) he's basically the sweetest.
Oh! And I got a new phone as well, its SO hard to blog on :( no bueno. Ill catch up with my halloween nails soon!!

Ghost Song - The Doors

Hi guys!!!!! I'm back with another halloween mani! I'm not really good at making really scary pictures, just sort of cartoon like.. But still. This is so cute, amiright?
I think the pinky nail looks sort of like the mask from SCREAM haha and the other 2 ghosts looks like they're singing LOL. I used WnW polishes for this mani. The base is french white creme and the black is black creme. I used a dotting tool to create the design for the ghosts and a stripping brush for the spider web!
I think my fave part is the spider web, I have a few other halloween designs in mind but I think I might try to add this in somewhere else too! I'm gonna do zombie nails later this week, as well! Soooo excited!
Do y'all like my lil caspers?! :)

Karma - Joss Stone

Hey guys! I just have a quick post for today, I did a semi halloween mani the other day using finger paints military green under china glaze's zombie zest! I LOVE military green... Its soo pretty... And zombie zest is one of my all time favorite glitters....
I thought it might be fun to paint some creepy little guys on my nails as well. I wanted them to look like frankenstein but they didn't turn out quite as well as I hope :( tell me what y'all think!
